It's Christmas Eve down here and as I have four coming to mine for Christmas Lunch (therefore I'll be slightly busy in the morning) may I take this opportunity to extend to you all my best wishes for the Christmas and Hanukkah season.

For those of you unable to spend it with your families because of Covid, although they may not be with you physically please keep them in your hearts.

Merry Christmas, Les. Should be a quiet one this year with COVID and such. Not much moving around this season, so perhaps some reflections on Christmases past, and hope for the future.

Spent most of today researching Boudicca...having read about her years ago it was good to have time to dig a little deeper into her history. A fascinating woman in a world that was changed with women taking a more domestic role and to have this female warrior rise up in the middle of a male dominated world was amazing, she was described as tall and red haired, and was well versed in the use of a sword and lance. There is or was a movie too, that I am hoping to see.

There was a very good Brit TV series (Mini series) about her 20 - 30 years ago. I'll see if I can track it down and let you know the name.
My recollection was that she was happy to maintain peaceful relations with the Romans after her husbands death but she and her two girls were raped by a Roman Commander and then all hell broke loose in the Iceni region

Yes, Merry Christmas and happy New Year to one and all. Also I hope everyone is well. Thinking of you all much of the time. That is when I'm not going through dialysis. Lol😊
I'm doing well, really. 😁

Best of luck, TD. Tough road you’re walking, but if anyone can do it, it’s you. Hugs and lots of love and prayers headed your way.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Was much colder than normal here. Normal high must be around 50 or so, but it only hit 29 that I saw.

Things are a bit cooler here in Tampa FL too. Currently 53 degrees. Overnight low expected to be 49 degrees. Currently 37; in the northern Virginia mountains I recently left, over night low tonight in the low 30s. In Sequoia near where I usually camp a low in the lower 30s is expected. Summers are best in that area. It sure will be nice to be able to travel backroads again without worry.

Hope everyone is going to have a great 2021.
