"HELLER WITH A GUN"

Something I noticed at the end of Chapter 14. There is a paragraph that starts out "Tom Healy was wonderful." In the next to last sentence in the paragraph, Dodie is musing about Healy and Mabry. She thinks about the "leashed fury" in Mabry that was displayed "in the fight with Griffin at Hat Creek". The way I read the book, the fight at Hat Creek was with a character named Benton in Chapter 3. Griffin was not in shape for a fight. He was the bushwhacker that Mabry wounded in Chapter 1 and took to Hat Creek Station. Is that correct?

Here is another. Page 114, para 4, line 5 - "he said bluntly" should be "she said bluntly".
